305 Ventures, LLC, doing business as Agently. Effective September 29, 2026.
This policy explains what 305 Ventures, LLC, doing business as Agently ("Agently", "we", "us"), collects through agently.bot and The Greenville AI Brief, what we do with it, and what we do with data we handle for clients. Questions go to jon@agently.bot.
What we collect on this site
When you sign up for The Greenville AI Brief. Your email address. Our email provider, Resend, also records when you signed up and whether each issue was delivered, opened or clicked. We use that to send the Brief and to see which topics are useful.
When you fill in the "Talk to Jon" form. Your name, email, business name and your message. The form sends it to Jon's inbox by email, and keeps your name and email in our email provider, Resend, as a record of your request. We use it to reply to you. It does not sign you up for the Brief.
When you visit. Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics record visits: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, and how you arrived. Google Analytics uses cookies. Vercel Analytics does not. We use this to see which pages people read.
We do not buy lists, and we do not add you to the Brief unless you sign up.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not share your email with anyone except the providers that run the newsletter and our email.
- We do not use your information to train AI models.
Client work
When a business hires us, we may work inside its systems (for example its point of sale, scheduling, accounting or CRM tools), build tools for it, or move and clean its data. In that work the client decides what data is used and why. We handle it only to do the work the client asked for. The details are in our Data Processing Addendum, and the outside services we may use are listed on our Subprocessors page.
If you are an employee or customer of one of our clients and your information passes through our work, the client is responsible for how it is collected. Ask the client first. We will help them answer you.
Who else handles your information
The services that run this site, the newsletter and our email: Vercel (hosting and analytics), Google (Analytics and our email) and Resend (sends the Brief and delivers the contact form to our inbox). Each handles data under its own privacy terms. The full list, including services used for client work, is on the Subprocessors page.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only a record that you unsubscribed, so we do not email you again.
- Contact form messages: as long as they are useful for our conversation, and no longer than two years unless you become a client.
- Analytics: under Google's and Vercel's standard retention settings.
- Client data: as set out in the Data Processing Addendum.
Your choices
- Every issue of the Brief has an unsubscribe link. One click removes you.
- You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email jon@agently.bot. We answer within 30 days.
- You can block Google Analytics cookies in your browser or with Google's opt-out tool.
Security
We use accounts protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication where the service offers it, keep access limited to the people doing the work, and use services that encrypt data in transit. No system is perfectly secure. If something goes wrong that affects your information, we will tell you.
Children
This site and the Brief are for business owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you already gave us, we will tell subscribers in the Brief.
